When you wake up in the morning, watch the forecast, and see that it is currently 55 degrees outside, you instantly have a code red type of situation on your hands. When the temps are at 55 degrees, you have many options: You can wear a sports coat over your outfit, and hope that it keeps you warm if it gets a bit blustery; You can wear thin layers of clothing, and then wear a jacket over it, so that even if the wind does NOT blow, you won't be too hot; or you can do what I did this morning, and that is to look out of the window to see what the neighborhood folks are rocking to work. So when I looked out I saw people jogging in t-shirts and shorts, I saw people bundled up like they were getting ready to run the Iditarod, and I saw a few men walking around in just their suits. When I saw the suited men, I decided that would be my costume of choice for this fine Wednesday. Since I still walk to work, I figured I would keep me warm, if the breeze got out of hand. Well the breeze got way out of hand, the suit didn't keep me warm, and now I'm shivering and shaking at my desk like a woman who just used all her "toys" in one sitting. What's the lesson here? I don't know.

I can sum up yesterday's Democratic nomination action, by using my beloved Star Wars movies as a point of reference. Prior to yesterday, Obama was like the Rebel forces at the end of Star Wars IV. They had just won something big, and there were all types of celebrations for them as a result; however, just as the rebel forces started to relax, the evil Empire (which in this case will be played by Hilary Clinton) carefully and methodically struck back. They didn't strike back enough to break the spirit of the Rebel forces, but they struck back hard enough to let those same Rebel forces know, "Hey, we are still here, we are still a threat, and we will still beat that ass until you make us go away." I hope I didn't lose anyone with all that. The point is, Obama shouldn't panic at all, but I know somewhere, he and his people are having a regroup meeting. And in Hilary's case, she needs to avoid celebrations and stay on her grind...whatever that means.

RM . . .that was a great and accurate portrayal of last night's primaries . . .

I am glad your analogy was on point. . . at least you are smart enough NOT to follow these pundits who are calling her a comeback kid . . .

What the hell did she come back from? She is still losing . . .and now more than ever . . .

Thanks to CNN, we can all go to the interactive delegate map (http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/02/29/delegate.counter/index.html)and see that no matter WHAT, Hillary (and why is that we always spell her name with only one L? Is that subliminal . . .I mean I NEVER mess up and spell Barack without a C . . .) cannot make up more delegates than Barack . . .even if she wins all of the next states and the super-delegates (BIG) . . .she would still be @ 80 delegates behind.

So, what is this talk about her winning BIG . . .she is STILL losing . . .so what worries me, is what is going to go down after June? If Hillary is still vowing to stay in the game, then she must have a plan of how she will win IN SPITE of the facts . . .will this turn into another Supreme Court ruling where the people are slighted when justices decide that we should in fact count FL and MI, two states that dems were told would not count? What is this woman doing? And why are the American People (yes, I just said American People) falling for it? Have any of you stopped to think about it? because I certainly have . . .

Is Hillary so upset that she has lost fair and square to a Black man? Or is she just that much of a sore loser that she will fight dirty (I think we all know the answer to that one)? What will this do for the dems? And what will - as Barack said in last night's speech (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JB38asO7IIA) - other countries think of us if Hillary keeps this nasty race up? And what for? What on God's green Earth does this woman have up her sleeves?

I apologize for my rant, because truly it was just that . . .but I am so disturbed by Hillary's behavior the last few days (eliciting fear in people and getting away with it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kddX7LqgCvc) and the media's slowness in calling Hillary on it . . . Hillary could serve as an example for little girls everywhere, but instead, she is acting like a hormonal, evil witch, using revenge and dirty tactics to "get even" - fighting a losing battle and scheming against someone who she should be in alliance with . . .right now, though, all she keeps reminding me of is "mean girls" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0JPZiGInbg). . . an evil backbiting BITCH!

PS. And why was it that I got a news alert in my mailbox when Hillary won Rhode Island and Ohio, but none when Barack won Vermont . . .

And why are the headlines saying "Hillary Sweeps Texas"?

What kinda BULLSHIT is that? The full results aren't even in yet . . .my mother was standing in line until well after midnight caucusing for Obama and these idiots are saying that Hillary swept Texas, when all of the votes are not even in yet? Based on the results, Obama will most likely take Texas and the media is saying "Hillary Sweeps Texas"? OMG . . what next . . .???

This shit really pisses me OFF! i could go on and on, but I will spare you . . .

LOL @ Jo's blog on your blog.

I've learned that when looking at people outdoors they have to look like me when I decide if they are good indicators for what to wear outdoors. LOL

Dude. i love you for the star wars as politics analogy.

...i like to think that star wars is applicable to every facet of life. no really, i do. I have a star wars anecdote for just about everything. And when that fails...i fall back on seinfeld.

as far as dressing for this type of weather, i think a smart trench would suit you well. and perhaps a nice snuggly warm sweater underneath your blazer/sportcoat for when you get in the office.

Rule of thumb:

you can always remove layers, but you can't put them on.
